2016 International UFO Congress Lecture
Lecture: Inside The Black Vault: A 2 Decade Journey into the Declassified World of Government Secrecy
John Greenewald recounts his trail of research using the Freedom of Information Act. See documented proof of repeated government misdirection and bald-faced lies! Even though the Air Force claims to have had nothing to do with UFO investigations since it closed Project Blue Book in 1969, mountains of documents recovered through the FOIA clearly demonstrate otherwise.
Bio: In 1996, John Greenewald, Jr. began researching the secret inner workings of the U.S. Government at the young age of fifteen. He targeted such groups as the CIA, FBI, Pentagon, Air Force, Army, Navy, NSA, DIA, and countless others. Greenewald utilized the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to gain access to thousands of records. He accumulated an astonishing number of documents on topics related to UFOs, the JFK Assassination, chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons, and top secret aircraft.
Greenewald obtained unprecedented amounts of information. He knew that he could not keep it to himself. He felt obligated to inform the public. He believed that “the people” had the right to know what he had discovered. He began scanning the documents to the internet for the world to see.
Time elapsed, in which case, Greenewald’s online archive became known globally as “The Black Vault.” His teenage project turned into the largest private online collection anywhere in the world, totaling nearly 1.5 MILLION pages of material.
Greenewald has been featured on television networks such as The History Channel, Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, A&E, FOX, NBC, along with international networks such as the BBC (UK) and NTV (Russia) and many others.
The published media has featured and quoted him in more than two hundred articles, and having been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Daily News, and Baltimmore Sun, to name a few. Greenewald and The Black Vault was also featured on the front page of Yahoo! as one of the top stories for the day.
Broadcast radio has featured Greenewald on stations worldwide, including Coast to Coast AM (Premier Radio Network – syndicated), the Adam Carolla Show (CBS Radio – syndicated), the Bob & Sheri show (Greater Media Radio – syndicated), and many more.
At the age of twenty-one, Greenewald published his first book Beyond UFO Secrecy in 2002. His book has recently been put into a second expanded edition, and was re-published by Galde Press in January, 2008.
